Eligibility Criteria for MBBS Admission In India
To be eligible for MBBS admission in India, a candidate must have completed their 12th (HSC) or equivalent examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology), and English as core subjects. Students belonging to the General category must secure a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together, while candidates from reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) must obtain at least 40%. For candidates under the PwD category in the General category, a minimum of 45% marks is required in these subjects. Additionally, it is mandatory for all candidates to qualify the NEET-UG examination, as it is the only entrance exam for MBBS admissions in India. The applicant must also have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
